"While every performance is ideal, and ideally quirky, it is Whiting’s astonishing portrayal of Alice that continually bedazzles. A petite figure of gargantuan strength and nerves of steel, Whiting’s airborne routines are stunning and put the audience in a state of total emotional suspension."

Hedy Weiss, WTTW

About the Artist

ACTOR

Lindsey Noel Whiting is an actor specializing in physical storytelling, spectacle, and visceral emotional risk. Her full bodied/full hearted playfulness incorporates elements of clown, improv, and a strong visual awareness. She was a long-time collaborator with Redmoon Theatre, where she performed in large scale spectacle productions like Sink, Sank, Sunk and The Golden Truffle, as well as more intimate jewel box productions like The Cabinet and The Secret Language of Birds.  She is also an Artistic Associate of Lookingglass Theatre,  where she has performed in a number of productions such as Mr. & Mrs. Pennyworth, The Great Fire, and perhaps most notably, as the titular character in Lookingglass Alice in ten productions and seven different cities. Additionally, she is an Associate Artist with Actors Gymnasium where she has written, directed and performed in 15 circuses.

TEACHING ARTIST

Lindsey has over 15 years of experience as a Teaching Artist helping students bring their bravest and truest selves to the stage. From summer camps with elementary school students to college workshops, she has enjoyed working with all manner of artists on physical performance, puppetry, and good old fashioned circus skills.

CURRENT PROJECTS

Lindsey has several tours of Manual Cinema's Leonardo! A Wonderful Show About a Terrible Monster coming up this spring. It's a fun show for kids based on two books by Mo Willems and Lindsey gets to do a funny voice whilst working with perhaps the most charming puppet in history. Hitting up Tempe and Canada in May. Check the website for details!

(Also, Lindsey appeared with her husband Samuel Taylor earlier this year on Shark Tank. Yes. That Shark Tank.)

"Whiting might be the best Lucy yet — a trained acrobat as well as a compelling actor, Whiting’s athleticism makes Lucy’s transformation from sweet well-born girl to proto-vampire quite startling and convincing."

"Whiting has become a present and vulnerable actress... capable of marrying her formidable gymnastic, rope and trapeze skills to an intense emotional journey."

Production Stills

"Perhaps the most visually captivating moment of the play was the arrival of the Ghost of Christmas Past, played by Lindsey Noel Whiting. She moved with grace and ease and it was hard to take your eye off her..."
